Many of the schools that could benefit from technology have priority needs. These may include repairs to classrooms, teachers’ rooms, restrooms, and other projects needed to create an educational environment that allows children to be taught. Without such an environment, it makes little sense for technology to be introduced.
Over the past 15 years, the Foundation has successfully constructed more than 50 projects in rural schools and regional teacher training centers. We have always worked in collaboration with municipal authorities, parents and donors who support the schools. We build or remodel the schools using bio-friendly techniques, with materials from the region, local labor and teaching the communities how to maintain the infrastructure provided to them.
Our goal of providing technology education to 60 schools means that every year it will be necessary to carry out 3-4 projects, ranging from small repairs to infrastructure reconstruction. In particular, many of the schools we work with were damaged by Hurricane Agatha in 2022 and are still in the process of recovery.
With your contribution we will be able to provide the children and teachers of rural communities with all the amenities to improve their educational spaces and their learning.
100% of your contribution will go directly to cover the cost of these investments. This is the ideal time for you to join the cause and provide an opportunity for children in rural areas. Join us and make the change!
From the long list of requests for support we have, we start by evaluating the project, prioritizing the neediest communities. If we have sponsors who adopt a rural school, we make a work and cost plan. If there is no sponsor, we gather all the contributions received.
The next step is the signing of a collaboration agreement between the parents and the foundation in order to carry out a valuable team work in favor of the school, the children and the community.
